Hunting season has sadly come to an end and now all there is left to do is start to pack your hunting gear up and start the preparations of next season whether that be fishing season that is right around the corner or hunting season that is twenty-eight weeks away. Here is the perfect snack to munch on while packing up your hunting gear or working on your hunting equipment. It is also a great snack to bring with you fishing. Ingredients: 6 Pounds~ Venison (cut into ? inch strips) 1 Cups~ Soy Sauce 1 Cups~ Worcestershire Sauce Cup~ Ketchup Cup~ Liquid Smoke 2 Tablespoons~ Salt 2 Tablespoons~ Onion Salt 2 Tablespoons~ Black Pepper 2 Tablespoons~ Garlic Powder
Instructions: After you cut up the venison into the ? inch strips rinse them off well and dry them. Set aside. In a Ziploc bag mix the Soy Sauce, Worcestershire Sauce, Ketchup, Liquid Smoke, Salt, Onion Salt, Black Pepper, and Garlic Powder together. After you have mixed the ingredients in the Ziploc bag insert the venison strips. Let all the air out of the bag and refrigerate over night. By doing this the marinade will be absorbed into the venison.
The next day preheat the oven at 200? degrees. Take the venison out of the refrigerator and set aside. Take a cookie sheet and place a rack on top of it. Now start to lay out the strips of venison making sure they are not touching. Once you have completed that put the venison on the bottom rack of the over and leave to oven door open slightly. Cooking time is roughly 2 hours but it varies in some ovens so make sure you test the venison and it is to your liking before you remove it from the oven.
