Fishing season is here and the crabs are nipping at the bait. Grab those crabs and start cooking. This recipe can be made within thirty minutes and it is easy to make
Ingredients: 4 tablespoons~ Butter or Margarine (Margarine to be healthy) 4 tablespoons~ Flour 2 cups~ Heavy Cream (Half-and-Half to be healthy) ? cup~ Grated Parmesan Cheese 6 (8 oz.)~ Cooked Snow Crab (removed from shell and cut into chunks) Salt and Pepper to taste 1 pound~ Linguini (cooked as instructed on package)
Instructions: In a saucepan melt the Butter or Margarine. Stir in the flour, cook until the mixture has a sandy look to it. Then whisk in the Heavy Cream or Half-and-Half. Keep stirring until mixture becomes a thick sauce. Then stir in the Grated Parmesan Cheese, Salt, and Pepper. Let simmer over a slow flame for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to blend. Add the Crab chunks and only cook until crab is heated through. Remember the crab is already cooked so don?t over cook it. Alternatives: Instead of the crab meat try lobster meat or even some (40) medium peeled and deveined shrimp and also add a cup of chopped cooked broccoli. If you are a true seafood lover then cut the amount of crab to 2 snow crabs, some lobster, and 20 medium shrimp. Thank you!
